The charity has two shops that both serve the local communities in which they are located (Enfield and Edmonton) and offer young people with learning difficulties the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and training. In addition, the shops provide volunteering opportunities for members of the local community who are seeking to reintegrate into the world of work. The donated goods that we receive are prepared by the young people and volunteers and sold at affordable prices through our high street shops or via our Ebay store.
Each of our shops offer an appealing and constantly changing range of quality donated goods. All our shops make a crucial and significant contribution to the funding required to deliver our mission in the local community.
Since reopening our shops, we have seen a higher demand for affordable goods given the financial impact the epidemic has had on the local residents. With your donation, we believe that we can increase the number of work experience placements offered to young people with learning disabilities, increase our volunteering scheme and provide even more affordable goods for the local community. It also promotes re-use, upcycling and reduces landfill and feeds into our upcycling project
Would you like to volunteer in our shops? Please make contact – we would be delighted to hear from you!
